Wave Energy A new design of wave generator is being developed. The early stage scale model has been built, with proof of concept testing performed. Areas for improvement have been identified, and are currently being implemented. Design aims include: Good efficiency. Survivability. Modular for ease of maintenance. Ease of deployment and retrieval. Tidal Flow A novel tidal flow generator will be integrated on the same platform as the wave generator. This increases the cost effectiveness of the machine overall. The cost of moorings and electrical cabling is shared between two types of generator. Due to the novel nature of this device, it is not yet possible to provide details of the design at this stage. |
